AWS provides promotional cloud credits to eligible open source projects that need infrastructure for CI, artifact hosting, testing, or related workloads. Projects apply directly to AWS and, if approved, use the credit balance against eligible AWS services for a limited period.

Should you use this?

Best for
Projects whose main blocker is hosting, CI, storage, AI tooling, or operational overhead.
Not ideal for
Projects that need direct maintainer income rather than cost reduction.
Why choose it
Cloud credits that reduce hosting and CI bills instead of generating cash. Best for projects already running meaningful workloads on AWS.
Watch out for
Credits and tooling reduce burden but usually do not fund maintainer time directly.
