Vercel Open Source Program

Last updated · Update this page

Applications are currently closed. Vercel’s Open Source Program offers selected projects $3,600 in platform credits over three years, an OSS Starter Pack of third-party offers, and community support. The official page lists a Spring 2026 cohort but gives no reopening date. This is service support, not cash funding.

Eligibility. A project must be actively developed and maintained, hosted on or intended to host on Vercel, show measurable impact or growth potential, follow a code of conduct, and use program credits exclusively for open-source work. Vercel says projects at all development stages and fully open-source nonprofits may apply. Funded open-source companies are directed to consider Vercel’s Startup Program instead. Selection considers impact, community engagement, and contribution to the broader developer ecosystem.

Application and availability. The program page currently says applications are closed and does not show an active application form or reopening date. It does not publish the application fields, review timeline, or selection rate. Check Vercel’s page for a new application window before preparing an application.

Limits. Platform credits are not cash. Vercel’s Terms of Service says credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and generally non-refundable. Third-party OSS Starter Pack offers have their own terms and may change. Review Vercel’s program page, the OSS Starter Pack, and Terms of Service for current details.
